I was on my way to A/C for the weekend when a customer of mine paged me. This also prompted me to call my office and pick up my messages. I picked up a message from Mike Custodio who was nice enough to inform me that the new $5 and $ 25 Hooter issues were released.

I figured that I would make a detour, go to the Marina and pick up a few chips for myself and my friends.

I arrived at approximately 9 PM and headed for table #804 where new issues are generally available. [For those not familiar it is against NJ CCC rules to allow chip sales at the cage].
As I was walking through the corridor I met a casino host friend of mine as well as Todd Moyer [a long time friend].
Todd asked me what I was doing there and I told him that I dropped by to pick up chips. My wife headed for a slot machine and the three of us proceeded to table 804. There were NO 5's to be found. Todd asked the pit boss who told us that all the chips were sold by 6PM that day. Todd took a look at the stacks himself and found none
I later found out that a fellow chipper was able to secure some on Saturday. How remains a mystery.

In earlier conversations with Todd I had suggested an issue size of 750 for 5's. My reasoning was that if it were posted on the board that a new issue was forthcoming and everyone had an equal chance to obtain them, 750 would be enough. In the past many casino's in A/C have issued chips in large numbers only to be stuck with tons of chips and have as a result become gun shy in regards to new issues.

The Hooters chip as well as the next 14 chips to be released in this series will all have an issue size of 600. These chips were all designed an ordered BEFORE Todd Returned to New Jersey so blame the previous administration for that one.

I have asked Todd, please have someone post the date and time of issue as well as the issue size of future issues on the chipboard. This would give everyone an equal chance at obtaining what they need.
I would like to see the Marina become a little more chipper friendly so another screw up like this does not happen.

There have been several that have attacked Todd for his chip issuing policies. Todd as VP of marketing has input towards these chips but is NOT directly involved wit their issue. I have asked him to help us all. Now I have to see who might of picked up a chip for me.

I must point out that in many cases, casino executives are reluctant to post on the board since they are frequently attacked for one thing or another. As Todd said you can't please everyone.
Hopefully we will be more informed on the next issue.
