I previously wrote about my difficulty in finding mounting hardware for my flag. I visited 2 Home Depots and they were sold out. This morning I had success at the lumber yard after visiting 2 more hardware stores. Every body is getting on the flag flying band wagon. I also passed by a small retail store in town that just sells flags. I don't know if I ever saw a sole walking into or out of the store in the 18 years I have lived in this village. Today there was a line of about 100 people waiting to get it.

My thanks to a very special chipper way out on Long Island. When he saw my post, he volunteered to drive the hour + to my house with the mounting brackets. I was very touched. We truly are one big family. I hope we all treat each of us like this always, not just in times of crisis.
