I would believe it is fake. Only because I know from several recent threads that they are suspect. The open and close dates do not indicate anything on their own as DI had issued an LE for their Anniversary which just happened to be at the same time they closed. I suppose it is also possible that a casino could issue one last LE to commemorate their life, so to speak. The DI chips were not on Nevada Mold, I believe they were on Hat and Cane(?). Therefore they would only be 2 for 4 on your quiz. The chip, I have, a replica of an old chip, does have Open and Close dates on the chip.

The mold is an important factor. If a casino never used the Nevada Mold than that would make the chip very suspect. In fact, as a beginner here, I would like to ask if the Nevada Mold was ever used for a legitimate chip actually used in an actual casino or were they only used for souveniers. I have a few chips on that Mold. They do not seem very durable and are all novelty chips. I hardly think they have the playability to have actually been used in casino play.

Regarding being in TCR, I believe I have heard that some old chips are being found, from time to time, that weren't known to exist. Therefore are there some legit chips that would not be in TCR.

I would say that all the questions here, combined would make me stay away from an auction of one of these chips. For the sake of fun, please hold off on answering my questions till others have given their responses to the quiz. I will await my answers for later.
