There are probably three factors that would cause your problem One as mentioned is the format. As was mentioned .jpg or JPEG is the preferred. Second also mentioned is the compression. Compression is partially a factor of the previously mentioned format but in the case of JPEG can be adjusted to various levels. In your image editor, if asked, make sure you are using a medium compression %. Lowering this number will help some. Third is the image size. If you are using say 1024 x 768 that is a VERY LARGE file. For the chipboard, I have noticed you do not need much of a resolution or picture size of more than maybe 640 x 480. I personally use a something around 320 x 240, whatever is most appropriate for the specific photo. If you want to see what others are using, Open a post here on The ChipBoard and look at the picture on the page. Right Click on that pic and select Properties and you will see the size of the image. You will also see the file name which will tell you what others are using.
