Re: Pete Rizzo
In Response To: Pete Rizzo ()

My memory has faded a bit in regard to the exchange that you mention but I do recall that with the situation(s) with Rene, there was a two way fight going between the two of them. It might be interesting to look back in the archives but I seem to recall that Rene, first, inserted Pete into one of the situations in one of his attempts to defend himself. That, then, would naturally open the door for Pete to jump in. The situation between Pete and JP and Nevadadeals was one sided at the beginning.

As for the issue of others contacting Nevadadeals or Jackpot, I can't speak for everyone but I am not knowledgable enough to notice the specifics that Pete did. I would assume that many other people here might be similarly inexperienced. Also, it could simply be that others simply never saw the auction in the first place. I have said before that it is great when people like Pete post notices about errors and and misrepresentations here on the board. That is one of the reasons I read The ChipBoard. I learn a lot here. However, I still question whether this issue here is an Error or a Deliberate Misrepresentation. There is a difference in how a situation is dealt with depending on those definitions.

I have a problem with an inconsistancy on this subject in comments made by several people. It was said that if someone is not sure of the discription of a chip or the definition of a term like the type of mold or manufacturer etc. than they shouldn't state that in their ad as it could be misleading. However, I also got from this issue that if the person does not declare all the information they may be percieved as hiding something and being misleading. It almost sounds as though it would be impossible for anyone but the most experienced to sell anything. You either declare too much and are in error or you declare too little and are being evasive, deceptive and misleading. I just think there is a point where, assuming a good photo in the ad and a fair discription, the buyer should accept some responsibility to pay attention and look at what they are buying. This is why I do not buy old chips online. I don't know enough about them yet. I don't buy anything that doesn't have a picture, unless it is so rediculously cheap that I can afford the risk. If someone has a question or problem, Contact the seller and inquire about inconsistanceies or questions etc. see how cooperative they are. If they do not respond or brush you off or feed you some more bull than it is fair game if someone goes off on the issue here.
