The other night I get a phone call from my fellow Florida chipper who says he has a favor to ask. He says, "When you get into St. Thomas or St. Maarten would you please pick me up a bottle of focking vodka." I say, "You don't have to be so vulgar & why don't you find a liquor store near your house to pick up your own focking vodka." He says, "The stores don't carry focking vodka". Again, I tell him to stop with the vulgarity, or I'll hang up." He tries to explain, "Focking vodka can only be bought outside of the states & they may have it in the islands." I reply, "In every package store I've been into in the last 40 years, I see shelves stacked with focking vodka." He retorts, "NO, not that kind of focking vodka, you dummy. This vodka is made in a focking distillery someplace in Russia." I say, "You idiot, most focking vodka is produced in Russia!" He then sighs and says, "Forget the focking vodka, just get me some Hard Rock pins from St. Thomas." Not so fast fellow. I want to know what's so special about a bottle of vodka that I have to schlep it all the way back from the Caribbean. Once more he says, "Focking vodka is the best of its' kind to drink." I then explain how bad alcohol, especially focking vodka, is to your brain. He ends with "Have a wonderful time on the cruise & forget the focking vodka already." I don't know what got into him because he is really reluctant to use 4 letter words in conversation. I drop the subject & hang up. I check for email on my computer & he had the nerve to send me a scan of an obviously made up, contrived label that says, FOCKING VODKA! Can you believe how some people will play with your mind. He can go to h--l along with his focking bottle of vodka! Thanks for allowing me to vent.
