Lottery request--is there any objection?

We now have 20 applications to join the California lottery. A request has been made to include California residents as well as non-residents.

The only reason I originally excluded residents of California in the first place is because I thought that if they wanted to buy a ticket, all they had to do is go down to the local 7-11 or wherever and get a ticket as opposed to out-of-state people, who didn't have this opportunity.

So unless I get some objections, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to include everyone, no matter where they resided.

I believe the jackpot is currently up to $45 million (a drop in the bucket compared to the super lottery just hit) but probably enough to satiate most people. I was still planning to wait until Saturday's drawing--at which time it might have already been hit-- but the good news is that our odds of winning are 41.1 million to 1 compared to 80 million to one for the Powerball.

Bottom line is that if any California residents wants to join the rest of us, let me know a.s.a.p.
