I spent the last two weeks in Maine looking for a Summer retirement cottage to get away from the heat and humidity of Delaware. While I was there and on the way back in my travels I picked up some interesting chips. I picked up roulettes from Foxwood with table designs I had not seen before. The rest of the chips in the scan are hard to see because of the wear on the chips but I will describe them. I have some of these chips available for trade or sale (the ones that are not one of a kind)please email me if you are interested in any of these chips. Row 1 left to right 24 card pips mold yellow with 3 cream inserts, yellow catlin chip hot stamped DMW on one side, same chip in red, same chip in blue. Row 2 24 card pips salmon with 3 cream inserts, Green small key htsp T, Green small key htsp C, Brown small key Dixie Inn $5. I got the next 11 chips from a gentleman by the name of Tim Carl Plumer who ran a model train and car shop in Hallowell, Maine just outside of Augusta. Tim was a very interesting character who looked a lot like W.C. Fields and he even quoted Fields a couple of times during our conversation. Tim told me that he used to run an illegal poker game upstairs from his shop in the 1980's mostly hold'em games. He also told me about other gamblers who used to come to Maine from Nevada in the Summer and he said ther were a lot of big money poker games in Maine at various locations. A John C. Wheelock ran a poker game in Gardner, Maine. He also mentioned a good friend of his named Robbie A. Goggin who was a big time poker player in Vegas and also Maine. (I wonder if Gene Trimble knows this guy). Tim had chips with his initials TCP on one side and a demonination on the other up to $5000, but he said they used the chips all as $1.00 chips when they were playing poker. He said he loved the games because he never lost since he got the $2.00 drop from each hand, since he was the House. Row 3 Blue Clover mold TCP 5O Cents, Orange Clover mold TCP 5000, Purple TCP $1000, Yellow TCP also $1000, Row 4 Blue TCP $500.00 with a line under the cents, White TCP $1.00 with line under the cents, Red TCP $5.00 with line under the cents, Green TCP $25.00 with line under the cents. Row 5 Black JCW $100.00 with line under the cents. (I also have a TCP chip that is the same as this chip), Red RAG $5.00 with line under the cents, Green RAG $25.00 with line under the cents. The rest of the chips are current Foxwood roulettes which were harvested from the tables as well as from a cocktail waitress.
