I walked through some of the side shows at our annual Bouckville out door show and saw 1000's of gaming chips but few I needed. At one booth a dealer had a design clay for sale"--Rough Rider--see the scan which is taken from Dale Seymour's Antique Gambling Chips book. It was in mint condition and so I would have bought it as my Rough Riders are pretty rough. I asked him the price; he turned it over. $50! He said, "It's Teddy Roosevelt, you know." I thanked him and said I guessed I would have to be happy with the several hundred of them I had.
