(Warning long post)
...to say that I am overwhelmed by your responses is an understatement. I am very touched and wish to thank each and every one of you for your Prayers & concerns. Gail was also touched as we read together all the posts.

I have been in a bit if shock after hearing the news this morning. I really expected a butt chewing and to be put back on a cardiac diet (if it tastes good then spit out) not this. My surgeon is a boy I went to school with; he even remembered my old hot rod from school. He has quite a reputation as one of the areas finest. He has closely examined all the pictures from today's cath and has decided only three bypasses will be done. I have one main blockage @ 98% another main at 66% and yet another @ 'pinched off'. While I'm still not too keen on taking up residency here, but that gives me one day reprieve to get mentally prepared. If I have problems or there is a change in his schedule, I get moved up to Monday.
Marv, read the note about Mended Hearts, yea I know someone associated with it, Gail. She started the Mended Hearts chapter in Beaumont years ago while working in cardiac (she's a 25yr veteran RN). The chapter has been turned over to others but is still going quite strong. Gail is one reason I have never had a heart attack, everything gets caught early (RN's are 'professional hypochondriacs'). To be safe, I have my will, power of attorney, and other instruments ready incase of any event. Many friends have called or come by today & I guess I'm ready. But it's still scary, 98% success rate is the same as a 2% failure rate, that's the part that sticks out to the patient at this stage. Mike said he's never lost one yet. Hmmmm I asked if I was his 99th patient... and added No Breathing then No Paying! Trying to maintain sense of humor and keeping everything light. Know this was a long post, but if I go under tomorrow this is last chance as I'll be NoN-Computing for several days... Thank You All...
