One of the finest Italian Chef's to grace Las Vegas history passed away Thursday at the age of 75. Joe Pignatello owned and cooked at the Villa D'Este for years and then opened Vesuvio prior to his retirement several years ago. This was my favorite dining spot in all of Las Vegas, ever.

Bruce, Gene,I and our wives had several memorable dinners with Joe over the years and each one of them has a special place in my memory, now more than ever!

Joe cooked for movie stars, wiseguys, politicians and the movers & shakers of Vegas for over 30 years! His Steak Sinatra and banana cream cake will never be duplicated. Nor will Joe! He was one of a kind, just like his cooking. We miss you!
