Re: Slot Club Question
In Response To: Slot Club Question ()

I'd say it depends on if you're a slot card collector or not. We generally get separate accounts and ask for 2 cards each so we can play side by side machines. That way you end up with 4 cards and you use 2. That leaves 2 "perfect" cards - no scratches - which you keep separate so they don't get scratched in your pocket or purse. Some of the Indian casinos are rather stingy with the cards and you only get 1 even if you want 2. Then the next time you go back to the casino, tell them you lost or forgot your cards and ask for more. Then you play with the original 2 and now you have more "perfect" cards. Oh oh, I think I just let the cat out of the bag about how devious I can be -- and you all thought I was a nice little old lady!!!! ha ha

We had a joint account at Harvey's (Colorado) and our points really added up. Then the casino had a special promotion and they only gave 1 special chip per account - that's when we split our account. So since then we have always had separate accounts at every casino.

PS. While you're signing up, ask the slot card attendant if you can have a few blank cards. Sometimes they'll give them to you, sometimes they won't. I've been lucky in Colorado with them giving me blank cards -- some casinos are really nasty about it, but most are nice.

Happy collecting !!
