For everyone wanting a Harrahs Reno Happy Birthday Chip (including me)...we are SOL.

Spoke with the VIP rep after confirming with cage personnel that they have 3 stacks or was it racks in the back shelf. The cage manager wouldn't sell me any. The chips were labeled with a "Do Not Sell" sign.

My dad is a platinum card holder and his birthday is next week. We were up there celebrating early, and they still wouldn't give one up.

The story on these chips according to the VIP rep is that a couple years ago they were to be given out to persons sent a voucher. The chip was to be imprinted with their name. Unfortunately the imprinter didn't work and they cancelled the promotion.

They are not like the commemorative chips for Hot August Nights or Chinese New Years. They have no "Cash Value" although they could be played as $5 chips.

I tried pleading to get a couple, for my dad and Jill... Sorry Jill, they wouldn't part with them, even for a Platinum card holder.
