I went there right after thay opened and in fact the 1996 $1 was the first chip in my collection. That is where it started. I have been following since then and do not recall seeing any new $1 chips from The Orleans till 1999. I am not positive but my guess is that 1996,1999,2000 and 2001 is all there is.

There may be $5 chips for all those years too. The only other chips that I have seen other than their normal chips are $5 LEs for Grand Opening(1996), 1st Ann. Poker Tourney (1997), 2nd Ann. Poker Tourney (1998), 3rd Ann. Poker Tourney/Tournement of champions (1999), 4th Ann. Poker Tourney/Tournement of Champions (2000), and Y2K (2000).

It may be that in 1997 and 1998 their only emphasis on chips was the Poker Tournement chips. Those may have been an experiment that led them to dating the rest of their chips for collectable value(?) I happen to have the box that contains my Orleans chips. Looking at it now, I have to say that I have not been too impressed with their $1 chips. I do like their $5s. If they want to make their $1 chips walk they should redo the design and especially the color. I like "Big AL", the alligator, he is cool. I really hate the color though.
