Polymer US Notes... coming

.... The US Mint is looking at producing a Polymer dollar like Austrailia, New Zealand, Thialand, etc. Mobil Oil (before merger) was working on trying to sell the material "DuraNote" plastic (used in other countries) to the Mint for use with American currency. The ONE DOLLAR bill only last about 18 months, the Polymers last about 10 years. A HUGE savings as the US printa about 1.4 billion Dollars worth per year (total od all denominations). These cost about 4 cents per note to print (total of all associated costs as well as printing). I am exited about this possibility, but there is NO word as to when this will happen yet.
