Re: Question for John Johannes
In Response To: Question for John Johannes ()

YES - the years that the L-mold chips were made
for club / card room use has been documented by
others ( not me ) . Almost all of the L-mold chips were manufactured for California card rooms , with the emphasis on mid-central to northern California . Less than 5 per cent of all
L-mold chips were made for states other than California . Now , the chips MAY have been moved out of California for play in other states , but for the most part , they were INITIALLY made to be
played in CALIFORNIA card rooms . The generally accepted dates for the L-mold chips is from around 1960 to 1974 . 1974 may be a little late , but we will leave that as an ending date unless an earlier date can be verified . That is what I know about the L-mold chips . JOHN
