I don't know what crystal ball DonL is looking into, but he's wrong. Acceptance of dollar coins isn't going to change in 5-6 years in the USA. $1 chips will be continued to be made and used on table games. 25 cent chips are still being made and used for table games. Phasing out $1 chips won't happen in my lifetime, and I figure to be around for another 30 years at least! Phasing out $1 tokens is already happening with paper receipt slots. The token collector has much more to worry about than the $1 chip collector!
