I was thinking that maybe because I opened the email without opening the attachment 5 days before I deleted the whole package might have had something to do with getting infected.

I'm still getting a new (since this worm entered the picture) warning that some program on my hard drive wants to create a new text file about every other time that I boot up. One of the most destructive results of letting this virus run through your computer is it will fill all empty hard drive space with self-generated text files.

Norton has more than 6000 questions posted on their BB concerning this single virus... We aren't done with this one. ...not yet. ...that sucks.
