At lunch time I went to the new Desert Diamond Casino. As of this morning (9:00 am) they are officially open for business. I immediately signed up for their slot club (the Diamond Club) and I am member #226. I asked for a got one blank. As you can see in the scan, a members name is printed on the back, and the front remains unchanged. I will get more (as traders) in the future. Many of the machines are coinless. I got an opening day payout ticket (in the scan) for the least amount payable.

I have confirmed that the poker room (now open) is using the old rack.

The new facility is very, very nice. Inside it is circular shaped, with the slot floor in the center and sunken by about three feet. Around the periphery is the Keno area, the poker room, the cashier's cage, the Diamond Club booth, the restaurant and an as-of-yet un-opened bar.

After taking several pictures, I was told to leave the facility. Initially they (security) wanted to escort me back to my car, but I was released on my own recognizance.

I will be going back after work and when I get home later I might be able to post those pictures. The facility appears pretty much complete (the casino that is) although several electricians were still installing convenience outlets around the perimeter walkway.
