When it's a casino tracking/credit authorization card.

I noticed two lots on eBay this morning with humongous bids on "old slot cards." This is one of them, the next note will show the other.

Neither is a slot card.

Both were given to gamblers with credit lines so their play could be tracked and so pit personnel would know they were approved to write markers.

In fact, back in those days, slot play wasn't tracked at all because it wasn't considered significant enough.

Don't get me wrong - these are neat bits of Nevada gaming history. But they're not slot cards.
