This Friday is the announced opening day date for the Desert Diamond Casino's new facility. The existing poker room will be closed and poker will be played at the new facility.

I have been told that there will not be a new rack until after negotiations with the Governor are completed, and it is known if other table games will be permitted. The current pact (statewide) expires in 2003. The Desert Diamond will be using the existing rack or cruddy CHIPCOs.

The new batch of slot machines (500) will have a slot club card, so new cards should be available Friday!
