Ed; The brief history of Park Place is that it opened as "Bally's Park Place" on December 29, 1979 as Atlantic City's 3rd casino. (Resorts International was the first A.C. Casino; followed a year later by the 2nd A.C. Casino ... Boardwalk Regency (Caesars).

It's still open on the Boardwalk and is still named Park Place.

BTW: While the appearance of your dirty chips has been improved by cleaning.... the condition has not. They still have the same worn bicycle tire edges. (no offense intended)

I only mention this fact because many times people will ask "what's this chip worth" and the usual reply is that it goes for "x" amount of dollars in such and such book.

Without getting into another controversial thread on grading, I must point out that I have published a "NOTE" on page 122 in my A.C. Price Guide section of the 2001 Edition of "Black's Catalog" that says ....

"The following must be said about condition, or grading, if you prefer. While I personally object to a numerical grading system and all the potential abuses that it brings about, it should be understood that this opinionated and controversial pricing guide is intended for chips and tokens in "EXCELLENT" condition."

"Excluding rare and/or scarce chips; plentiful comon worn chips obtained from gaming tables long after they were put into play are worth only face value....... " Cleaning soiled chips and circulated tokens can improve their overall appearance but DOES NOT improve their condition."
