Correction; This casino did not "close in 1987". It originally opened as Boardwalk Regency on June 26, 1979 one year after Resorts International and was renamed "Caesars Boardwalk Regency" after Caesars was confident that it was going to be a success. Ceasars did not want their name to be associated with a failure in case the 2nd casino to open in Atlantic City didn't make it. The casino is now simply called "Caesars Atlantic City" since 1985.
