Re: A slabbed SlabFree chip
In Response To: A slabbed SlabFree chip ()

Bob,

Your report makes me wonder.

1. If Mr. Hallenbeck didn't find a way to take a SLAB apart without much damage and then insert the SlabFree chip inside it and glue it back together.

2. If Mr. Hallenbeck is one of the people that ICG is using as their authenticators thereby having some conflict of interest in slabbing, grading and selling chips.

3. If ICG actually SLABBED this chip since it is in NO WAY a casino chip and cannot be graded or authenticated as such. ICG states that they will for a fee SLAB Casino Chips. THIS IS NOT A CASINO CHIP.

4. If ICG actually SLABBED this chip did they do so as a SAMPLE without a grade?

5. If they did this for Mr. Hallenbeck did they charge him a fee for doing so?

I would seriously doubt that ICG would have slabbed this chip for Mr. Hallenbeck as it would make ICG look pretty stupid in the eyes of others.

I wonder if Mr. Taylor is reading this board and would care to respond regarding this reported slab?

I care less that this chip got slabbed, as it still is a representation and MAYBE an even better FIGHTER for our slabfree cause.

HERE'S THIS LITTLE CHIP INSIDE A SLAB.... SCREAMING TO BE RELEASED FROM ITS HERMETICALLY SEALED COFFIN.

I would have to have laughed outloud at Mr. Hallenbeck's speech. especially when he pulls out a SLABFREE chip inside a SLAB. It would make him look like more of an xxx with an ax to grind, rather than giving the mild mannered speech he gave at the convention. BTW, I took loads of notes both on the PRO and CON side of Slabbing from each speaker. I found that Mr. Hallenbeck gave more reasons for NOT SLABBING than he did FOR SLABBING.
