Casino Castell de Peralada

After visiting and playing in European casino's for almost 17 years, I just added one to my TOP 3.

First you park your car in the magnificient floodlit garden and walk up to the castle. You can have diner outside in the great setting with a some nice background music played by a live band. They even have their own sparkeling wine.

You first walk through the slot area with recent IGT machines and other big names. The latested of the latested machines you wil not find here as it is 'small' casino. (specially compared to US casino's) Even to European standards.
You first have to sign up, give your passport and pay your entry-fee to get into the table-gaming area.

Once inside you are in the 'old' part of the castle. Where the roulette (French and American style), blackjack, poker and punto-banca games are, used to be the big salon of the castle. The century old wallcarpets are still the there... beautifull. Note the wall carpets in the picture below (it is quite small but gives a idea)

Of course I could not resist playing some French roulette at the with the smallest table minimum. They have 200, 500 and 1000 Pts (Peseta) minimum.

Also B&G jetons.

You go up one floor to the bar and restaurant area. To the left in a 'knight's bedroom' with beautifull 30 feet high ceiling with magnificent wooden handcarved ceilings is the 'La Boule' table. Luckely I was there in the weekend and around 1 am they opended the table. Played some 'boule'...

with 100 Pts (Peseta) minimum, nice jetons from B&G

It is out of the way, like 2 hours drive from Barcelona in the middle of nowhere but I found it magnificient. Like I said it is in my TOP 3 of most beautifull places.

I also went to play in Barcelona and met up with Fran again, but Barcelona I have already described.
Hope you enjoy this report.
Kind regards,
