Re: But it's a dry heat............

There are still "juice jobs" in Las Vegas, but it's not nearly as hard to land a decent paying job than it used to be. Most of the large houses are always hiring experienced help. You just have to be there to audition, network, ect. Unlike A.C., you don't have to take a class for every game. Obtaining a gaming card in New Jersey is a chore rivaling a gaming card in Louisiana and Missouri. (I'm sure there are other tough states) I'm not traveling half way across the country inexperienced in the day to day opperations of a casino. We have nothing to loose by trying. My wifes family is 500 miles south and mine is 300 north. I am here for the casinos. Like most of you on this board, I have a love for the casinos. It may be from a playing standpoint or an employment standpoint but we are all the same. We love the bright lights! 8 years ago when I first held onto the rails of a dice game waiting for the doors to be opened for the first time I fell in love. I knew that one day I would move to the mecca of gaming. I'm not saying that it will be easy but you never know how far you can go until you try.
