Just for giggles today, since it is "hotter than blue blazes" here in Kansas, I thought it would be interesting to see how our 104 deg. heat here compared to the heat out in the desert. Much to my surprise, the weatherunderground.com told me that it was a blazing 77 deg. at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Huh?? Then I looked at the radar which explained it. Looks like our friends in Southern Nevada were in the midst of an "old fashioned, gully washer". Is everyone still there? Anybody float away?
