Good page so far. The counter depends a lot on what geocities offers you. There are basically four ways to do a counter.

1. You can use the Frontpage component and publish a frontpage web. This is only possible if the webserver has the frontpage extensions.

2. You can use a java/javascript/cgi code to create the counter. There are plenty of places on the web were you can get the code for free. This is a little programming and you may have to have shell access to the web server to install the CGI scripts.
3. Geocities may have this service available. They will provide some HTML code to insert into your page. It looks like if you go to the www.geocities.com page, they have a section for adding counters. You will need to review this.

4. Use a free-counter service. This is basically where you will add a hyperlink to the page where another service stores a small file on their server that is updated each time your page is loaded. They are usually very easy to install. You need to set up an account and then download a few lines of HTML that you insert into your page. You might try one of the following:
