Hi Jim first let me assure you that I am aware of Robert Pardue’s raking as it relates to our club. But given his raking and his affiliation with this club do not mean he is wrong. As you stated “There are few chip collectors ANYWHERE whose opinions carry more weight with the majority of our club members” that is precisely why he should keep his opinion to himself while a auction is live. Especially since my auction was described accurately and priced fair, regardless if it sold or not.

In reference to your other points, allow me to summarize as short as possible. I object slightly to Mr. Pardue’s reference to the prior sale at the club auction in which I acquired my chip. But does Mr. Pardue go around and critic other live auctions and notify club members on the BB what prices were realized in prior transaction as auction are going on? I don’t think so! But if he does, I apologize for thinking he singled my auction and me.

Yes Mr. Pardue has all the right in the world to cast his opinion as it relates to my auction since I posted the original post. But I strongly object and have a right to cast my opinion if I think someone is wrong even with Mr. Pardue credentials. And to be clear, it is my opinion that Mr. Pardue as you state “whose opinions carry more weight with the majority of our club members” was wrong for predicting while my auction was live that it would not sell.
