Desert Diamond Poker Tourney Re-Buy Chip.

This is a Desert Diamond NCV, poker tournament re-buy chip. For those unfamiliar with the process, I will explain its use. When buying into a poker tournament, all players pay a set amount (say $30.00) and get a certain amount in NCV tournament chips (say 600). Either at the beginning, or part way through the tournament, the house allows a second buy-in (called a re-buy), which usually increases the prize pool, but in this instance went to dealer tips. The re-buy transaction is usually marked by the purchase of a re-buy chip (say for $3.00), and the chip is then traded-in (at the table, during play) for additional tournament chips (a fixed amount for everyone, say 100). This yellow chip, in this tournament, was worth 100 NCV points, and cost $3.00. But the tournament entry fee was $30.00, so the person who bought-in (and did not place in the money) sad paid $33.00 for this chip. Therefore, this re-buy chip is valued at $33.00, and No, it is not for sale.

Greg, you may use this for the ChipGuide. Now, only the white and lavender Desert Diamond NCV's are outstanding.

Other interesting Desert Diamond news. They are planning on opening their new, resort facility August 1st. They will have an all new rack. The artwork is in, but I have not seen it yet. I will be out of town for two weeks, but will check upon my return. Some time ago I provided many Indian chips to the designers, so that they could consider possible ideas and concepts for the new rack. They especially liked the Mohegan Sun "One Buck" (and others from other Tribes). It will be interesting to see what they do. I suspect a $5 GO, no fractionals, and no $2.50's.
