PACK Members - Excalibur Unveils New Club Card

While in Las Vegas this past weekend I stopped by the Excalibur. On Friday night every single slot machine had a cardboard sign stuck in the slot club card slot advising that a new slot club card was being worked on, and that the computer was down. The new Slot Club program would be in effect on 18 June.

On Saturday night (I happened to stop be again) and all those cardboard signs had been removed and every machine was now affixed with a sign that said a new card was now in effect and to go to the Crown Club to get the new card.

So, (after collecting one of each of the cardboard signs) I went to the Crown Club. Sure enough, they had new cards, but they had also linked the Crown Club to the Player Club. The Player Club was a merging of the The Edge and Club Belle slot clubs at the Edgewater and Colorado Belle, respectively, in Laughlin. The gold Player Club card now works at the machines at the Excalibur, and the new Crown Club cards are supposed to work in the two Mandalay properties in Laughlin.

It is interesting to note that (as stated previously) Mandalay Resorts will have a unified slot club program, and will likely have a single style slot club card (like Harrah's and Station's). Therefore, the gold Player Club cards of the Edgewater and Colorado Belle, and the new Crown Club card (w/ a maroon accent, instead of blue, at the bottom of the card) will likely be replaced by something else.

Lastly, Luxor is supposed to be next, then Mandalay Bay.
