Re: Airtites - storage, labels, and cataloging

two comments:
(1) I like to store my favorite chips in the usual 2" x 2" plastic flips that go in the usual letter-size, 20-pocket looseleaf plastic pages. It protects the chips and are easy to view. I use permanent gum labels on the flips (see below).

(2) a note of caution as to the labels. I would not use the removable common gummed labels on anything important. I used to use them on my flips, but after 5 years or so the gum dries out, and the labels fall off of the flips. In 1996 I got permanent (or at least not removable) gummed labels made by Avery from this firm. Don't know if tel # is still good, but it was 717 564 8843 (Multi-graphic business systems, Inc). I liked the 2" x 7/16" #7087 labels. (You could order the labels in various sizes. Also you could order #7087 and cut it with scissors to the size you want. I believe they can make labels to order.)
