Why, well for one reason, as far as I know, there is no book available written by any dealer to tell me what any particular chip is worth. And although I would like to know what chips and casinos are available in Canada, to date, I have been able to acquire all of my Canadian chips (obsolete and current) at face value for cash or equal trade.

I expect this is the way it was in the beginning when Archie and the other founding fathers traded chips stack for stack. Wish it was still that way instead of like it is now whereas one chipper thinks his chip is worth $0.50 more than his neighbors and won't trade unless he gets his price.
