Am I about the last convention road warrior? Hope not! Still buzzed from my first time, wow. After the big show, I took off for the wilds of AZ. to visit my father and returned for a run up the east side of Nevada to home in Portland, OR. Pulled in to Laughlin for my first visit, 113 degrees and the hot part of the day still ahead. Next morning found me playing for a few minutes at the Searchlight Nugget. Got $10 ahead so's I pocketed two $5 chips and headed for fuel in LV. Lunch at Ely's Hotel Nevada (already have their current rack) and finally noticed the Fireside Inn location on the way out of town. McGill's Club 50 has a new huge billboard hard by the side of the building adverting the ubiquitous Flying J somewhere up the road so was very glad I have photos of the place before eyesore. Finally got to the table at the 4-Way in Wells to pick up another couple of diesuit and 4suit CIC's. Basement room awaiting at the Horseshu in Jackpot...dorks. Ring me up at Casino 93 next time chippers. Picked up incused $5 Cactus Pete and $1 Casino 93 and a CP snapper and two decent $1 Horseshu chips. Got a slot card at Wildhorse in Pendleton (already promised) and home. Still got my chips sitting in the picnic cooler (worked great!) and just catching up here on the board. Not up for any trading at the moment, hope to put up some scans and pass along some convention moments in the next day or two.
