Had plans to spend the weekend at the Condo in Galveston. Seen the news? Houston is now 'Lake Houston' it had 20" of rain in ONE night. Interstate 10 is under SIXTEEN feet of water in places (as are all the other major roads & highways). The water is so deep, empty 18-wheelers are floating and they are afraid of where they will come to rest (possibly on top of the thousands of cars sitting on the BOTTOM). I have been watching aerial TV coverage and the 18-wheelers are jamming up against over-passes like a log jam in a river, it's absolutely unbelievable! Tonight it's expected to bring in another wave of water tomorrow and possibly the storm will move offshore and strengthens further compounding our water problems. I also have a vacation house on Village Creek just north of here and I can see the water level of the creek on my computer. In just 30 hours it has come up 11 feet (my yard is going under in 4 more feet). Was thinking of making a Chip Run in the rain to Louisiana, but Interstate 10 runs through RICE FIELDS & MARSH in places, hmm on second thought.... Looks like an eBay weekend!
