The fish is very much real. It is a peacock bass found mainly in Brazil and Venezuela. They are considered the toughest fighting fresh water fish in the world.

We travel about 3 hours straight into the jungle from Manaus Brazil and land on a grass strip. Camps have no phones or outside communications. We stay a week at a time.
