Since I am still very new to this, I am going to ask the dumb greenhorn questions. When in Vegas, can one simply approach the cashiers and ask to purchase some $1 poker chips, or does one need to partake in the game? I have noticed a lot that many of the casinos use the $1 coin for blackjack, so I have always assumed the $1 chips were poker chips. Being a somewhat shy person, I have never bothered to ask if I could purchase any chips on previous journeys, but if I am going now, you can believe I will be filling my pockets. Thanks for the help!!
