$62? You're lucky!! I paid 4 HOURS at the Plaza and got zilch. Before going back to LA Friday morning at 6:30 AM, I went to the Plaza to play for the special strikes with my membership CARD in hand but was told I was supposed to have a special invitation CARD to play. I begged and cried trying to get the staff and managers to let me play to no avail. I had a membership card, proof of one-day admittance fee, a couple of witnesses that verified that I, indeed, was at the show and, of course, my signature that could verify that I only played one time. What else could anyone want? I realize our club administration was trying to prevent members from hogging all the special strikes, but this was really the pits especially when I couldn't go back to the Tropicana until 10 AM when the show re-opened. The Plaza staff was nice enough, but all the managers that I waited 4 hours to see did no good. I was so mad at the club for taking my $5 and the lady who took my money not even bothering to tell me I was supposed to get a "bag of goodies" including the playing "pass". Not even while walking through the entrance door did I notice any sign saying I was supposed to pick up any material. I wonder how many other 1-day visitors got the shaft like I did? I was so involved trying to find a way to play the Plaza machine, that it wasn't until I was on my way home that I realized I forgot to play for the 20 regular strikes to win one of the $200 tokens and buy the 2 sets of older "Hollywood Classics" sets from the cage at face. I even by-passed the O'Sheas for their special strikes because I just wanted to get out of Vegas. So, $62? You came out lucky. On second thought, maybe I WAS lucky. Who knows how much those 5 Plaza strikes could've cost me?... Oh,well....
Do I sound P****d off? Just think what I would sound like if I hadn't found a $10 Bourbon Street for $20 the day before...
