Slabbing at the convention ...
In Response To: Slabber ? ()

... Sahara Coins has a table. I spoke with the owner today, introduced myself, told him I'm the first name on the list and showed him my drilled slab.

He said he was receiving a lot of "slings & arrows".

I did not see anyone else at his table and don't think he sold much, if anything. He closed up about an hour and a half early and left.

ICG has a table; not much going on there. PCGS (actually one of their subsidiaries) has a table, too. Didn't see many people at it.

LOTS of activity at the slabfree table, though!

During tonight's business meeting, CT Rogers stated to the board that there shouldn't be any "anti" groups in the club. Newly installed president Nate Pinkus replied that the slabfree chapter had been approved by the board and could continue to be a chapter.

Henry Garrett has distributed a handout entitled, "Slap-Bang, Slap-happy, slap-jack, slap-stick SLAPPERS UNITE!"

It goes on to say (emphasis is by Henry):

"Do you love SLABBED CHIPS?
"Do you hate SLABBED CHIPS?
"Or
"Do you think people should have a CHOICE?
"Maybe you just don't care.
"Does it make you chuckle inside?
"Then you are a SLAP happy chipper!
"OR SLAPPER"

Frankly, I'm not sure what to make of that. I don't know if he has slabbed chips on display. Other than Sahara Coins and the slabbers' tables, I have seen none at the convention.
