I walked the strip the other day hitting-up every casino cage for current uncirculated $1 chips. Some had them…some didn’t…some thought I was crazy for asking.

My questions are: In order to get uncirculated chips from a casino, do I have to buy a large quantity? Approximately how often do casinos order new chips?

If anyone has some info on this topic, it would be appreciated.

By the way…it took me about 5 hours to walk from Mandalay Bay to the Stratosphere then back down to the Tropicana. My feet were killing me!

Another note: When I asked the cashier at O’sheas for $1 chips, she said they didn’t have anymore, and were using Flamingo chips. Is O’sheas discontinuing its $1 chip?
