I could have sworn that the disk object on my trophy (which remains un-engraved) is a medallion of some sort, but not a chip. Since I am at work, I am going from memory, but does that seem familiar to you? I point this out because, there is a basic contradiction (in my mind) to permanently mounting a chip (any chip) to something. My vote is for the medallion thingy.
