I venture to make a guess it could be the ChipCo
material that they have used recently with the Hollywood Park Year of the Snake and the upcoming Year of the Horse 2002. The material ChipCo used is much finer than their regular chips. If you have the HP Year of the Snake rub your fingers or hand on the $8.00 you will see and feel what I mean.
