This is one of four tokens issued as a yearly set by Grand Cassino to club card members in good standing over a two month period. Each token of the four token set was available over a two week period and you had to meet certain minimum playing requirements to qualify for one. At the end of the promotion, there would generally be a two week "make up" period in which you could qualify for any one of the previous four tokens that you may have missed.

The Grand Casino's here in Minnesota had this promotion up until last year when they switched to "Teddy Bears". Our period was the Dec - Jan time frame, when normal attendance at the casino was down.

The first two years the tokens were redeemable for $5.00 and most were turned in, making them scarace. The casino soon changed this, so on the northern issues, there will be two different reverses, one with the Grand logo and $5.00, the others just having the Grand Casino logo.

I have all but the first years set available for sell or trade.

Typically, excluding the first two years, the tokens sell for $6.00 each or $25.00 for a set of four which includes a velvet lined display case (which was issued with each set along with the first token.
