Well I did when I first bidded... but my buffer maxed out almost immediately. So I watched it (still being the highest biddder -- but only cents away from my max bid. Then the item sat unchallenged for DAYS. I'm not sure if one can do this -- but last night before I went to bed, I wanted to throw another $5 on it by proxy, but it said "there was a probem" with my bid as I was already the highest bidder so I didn't think I could "up" my max bid. (anyone know about this? Can you "up" your max bid as high bidder?

OH WELL!! It's just that obsession with chasin' the brass I was warned about! LOL
