I know for a fact that at "Special Collections"
(UNLV) there are photos of both the Sahara plaques
and the Sands jeton and plaque set.

When the jetons and plaques became obsolete at the
MGM Grand, I wrote to them twice asking that they
consider executing a gift of deed of a set to UNLV.
Never received any response. I also met with
management asking for simple black and white
photocopies. After a two hour wait, I was told it's
not possible.

Would you be willing to ask Paris if they will
consider to execute a gift of deed consisting of a
complete set of jetons and plaques to Special
Collections....or at least a color photocopy? I'd
very much like to see this part of Nevada gaming not
be lost.

I only ask because you seem to have a little more
pull at Paris than several others who are local and
post on this board.

I find it a little hard to believe that
destruction took pace this early and before a
redemption period expired. Have you noticed any
redemption notice in any local papers?
