You didn't answer my question ...
In Response To: Re: I intend to ... ()

... Rich, so I'll ask it again:

>> What do you plan to do on behalf of the club at
>> the convention and/or during the upcoming year?

Or, tell me what you did this year. Or ever.

>> Jim why don't you write a book on Slabbing &
>> Jabbing? You obvisously have only one thing on
>> your mind, with plenty of time to chat ...

I have lots of things on my mind and not much time for chatting lately. And, in fact, have been pretty quiet here, even on slabbing. Your comment was just so antagonistic that I couldn't help myself.

>> ... I see you as a modern day Joan of Arc sort of speak.

THAT I take as a compliment.

>> By the way in your post it's sounds as if it's your private club ...
>> it's not and you speak for you and not the whole club ...

Well, let's see, my exact words on that subject were:

>> Nor do I. I speak for myself and no one else.

I don't know how to make it more clear that I am expressing my personal opinion and nothing more.

>> ... you are entitled to your opinion, so please don't force your own
>> narrow minded thinking on others who are'nt as provocative as you.

I'm not "forcing" my opinion on anyone. I am expressing it. If you don't like it, feel free to differ or ignore it as you choose. But, if you choose to differ with personal abuse, demagoguery and hyperbole, expect to be challenged in turn.

>> Work your table ... carry your banner ... wave it proudly, and please
>> don't try to intiminate your fellow members, they are going to the
>> convention for a good time & probably their only vacation this year.
>> Let's not get radical on the convention floor.

I'm not trying to "intimidate" anyone. I worked the slabfree table for two days at Palace Station. If you can find ONE person who can honestly say I tried to intimidate him at that show, or that I got "radical" on the show floor, I will buy a full page ad in the next issue of CC&TN to apologize.

>> Don't be a bitter chipper!

I took offense at your specific comments, but you shouldn't overestimate the relevance of your opinion to my emotional well-being. It certainly doesn't rise to a level that would create bitterness. ----- jim o\-S
