I know most of you guys have already made your reservations for the convention...but I have been looking for the best fare to go to Syracuse this summer for a hot rod show, and to visit mom.
Every place I looked was about the same with the lowest fare being approx $325. A friend yesterday told me about a website called Hotwire.com I gave it a try, and their price was $228. for the same round trip ticket. You can specify your desires.
How many connections you are willing to do, if you are willing to take a prop plane as part of the trip, and if you are willing to take a red eye.
The only thing that is a little different, is you aren't given your itinerary until after you committ to the flight. Once you give them your credit card # they than tell you what airlines , and what flight times you have. I'm flying US Air, and very close to the times I would have flown had I paid the $325. fare. I'm also told the closer you wait to the date you have to go the better the prices are if there is still seats available.
