That is what is nice about the French

tables. Like you say the croupiers have a great skill in putting the jetons on the table. And the 'Chef de Table' should now who put what where, as ALL the jetons are the same, not like the American Roulette where each player has his 'own' color.
BUT like everything else the down side is more croupiers, slower game (I will not say the amount of spins per hour, maybe Fran, who is highly skilled at the French tables in Barcelona, compared to the American tables where they just pull all the chips in the chipmaster and hup the new spin is started) for me I think that is why USA casino's shy away from French Roulette. Although there are lot of potiental players.
Also the sound level around the French tables in Europe are low, not the busy action like in Vegas.
Now to answer JB question how to say jeton.
I am not a crack in fonetic spelling the easy thing I will try to explain at the Convention in French, Dutch, Spanish and German for those who want.
For those who want let me know and I bring some orignal rakes with me. It is a nice wallpiece...
(I mean roulette rakes not garden rakes vbg )
Kind regards,
