I believe it was the chip originally sold in Herz auction #15 in Sept. 1995. At that time it recorded as sold for $2500, quite a bit for a chip in 1995. The $12500 I heard was "floor talk" during the Wall selloff at the convention I think two years ago. The price could very well have been for a number of chips with that one included but you know how "talk" get exaggerated as the stories get told. I have no proof or names involved although I'm sure Howdy has a record of who bought the chip from his auction back in '95.
