The Paris placed a single-zero wheel where the French table used to be, so it wasn't a matter of losing floor space to more slots.

They didn't set the table up for play until after 7:00 pm nightly, so if you walked by and didn't see anything happening before then, that'd explain it.

I can't speak to what action it might have gotten during the week, as I only played on weekends, but there were times that there were six players seated playing, and one or two people standing making outside bets.

I do know that from day one they were having trouble training enough people to run the game. When the action was slow, it still took two croupiers who were expected to speak French when dealing with the currency, and they were expected to remember and place the player's bets for them.

...given the struggles that the Aladdin is having and has had since they opened, and given that if they wanted to make the French roulette table a truly French table requiring them to stock it with their own new jetons and plaques, it doesn't surprise me that they didn't buy it and set it up in the London Club.
